Vice President, Marketing

Shaw Search Partners is pleased to partner with a Global Fortune 100 company in the recruitment of a Vice President, Marketing.

The Director of Marketing is responsible for planning, designing and executing strategic content marketing initiatives across the business. This position will build a robust content marketing engine to drive material business impact, build client engagement, generate demand and improve retention. They will be responsible for building out relevant, timely and actionable material for key audiences in all channels.

The role will manage staff, balance resourcing and ensure standards are consistent and aligned with the brand. They will work closely with other marketing teams to create real-time audience development, build brand engagement and actionable content strategies to drive growth. This role must also be a brand evangelist for message, tone and best content practices across the enterprise.

WHAT WILL I DO?

  • Responsible for the overall vision of the strategy across the business in all channels

  • Work cross-functionally on content marketing strategy, planning and producing of materials in key marketing priorities

  • Provide strategic guidance in developing robust audience-centric content based on the user journey to deliver actionable results in marketing programs, campaigns and channels across businesses

  • Develop an evolving inventory of existing content, online and offline, to ensure synergy in all channels and be leveraged across affiliates and marketing department

  • Build content strategies and drive through to execution in key marketing deliverables with measurable impact

  • Craft content (writing, copyediting and packaging) to create consumable material in social, searchable and marketable bites including digital, direct response, video, print and other media

  • Develop communities and social connections to build following and brand engagement

  • Create and manage the brand guidelines ensuring consistent standards for content creation, voice, tone, style, distribution and repurposing for online and offline channels

  • Manage a high performing team that proactively advances the goals of the marketing

WHAT DO I NEED?

  • College degree required with 15+ years of marketing and/or experience with user experience, creative and developing online capabilities

    1. Proficient in content development including value proposition, writing, copyediting and packaging material based on channels (social, digital, direct mail, etc.)

    2. Experience delivering communication in multi-faceted channels

    3. Background in building out social communities or followers

    4. Skilled in workflows and content management

    5. Experience in agile methodology and practice is appreciated

    6. Ability to influence and educate partners across the organization

    7. Inspiring and respected leader with ability to grow, develop and build business acumen of team
