Senior Manager, Media Roadmap & Innovation

Shaw Search Partners is proud to lead the retained search for a Senior Manager of Media Roadmap & Innovation for a start-up venture within a Fortune 5 company.

This venture is a highly visible and anticipated initiative with aggressive growth goals over the next 3-5 years. We are looking for a highly motivated person with a solid media and ad-tech background to help guide this growth engine. The Senior Manager of Media Roadmap and Innovation will work with the Director of Performance Media and cross-functional Directors as an essential contributor to the development and expansion of a Performance Media Center of Excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop the strategic roadmap and test plans for media, coordinating across all of our internal/external teams where necessary

  • Contribute monetization tools, like rate card, margin tracking, and business case forecasting

  • Translate goals from supplier and leadership teams into strategy for media channel and ad format expansion

  • Comfort and understanding of both ad-tech and mar-tech tools: candidate will partner and align with our enterprise mar-tech team

  • Identify white space opportunities in the ever-changing Retail Media Network space, building strategy around the latest opportunities

  • Monitor and share industry news, media and ad-tech trends, industry tools, and internal cross-team insights

  • Partner with cross functional peers, across media, audience, analytics and creative to create a cohesive roadmap to grow the retail media network

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of planning and buying expertise of digital media (programmatic/advanced TV/paid search/paid social)

  • Comfort/understanding of both ad-tech and mar-tech tools

  • Experience in audience-led media campaign activation

  • Self-starter, independent worker, and problem-solver

  • Collaborative spirit and disposition with all constituencies

  • Strong communicator at all levels

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of publisher-side inventory mechanics, platform experience with GAM

  • B2B and/or digital publisher side experience

  • Agency experience

  • E-retail, e-commerce, or experience in a retail media network

  • MBA
